Spoils shared at the Ipurua

Eibar and Granada added more points to their tally with a 1-1 draw in an evenly contested game. Both goals came in the first half.

SD Eibar and Granada CF draw 1-1 on matchday 9 of the Liga BBVA. The home side went ahead through Allan-Roméo Nyom and, in the 37th minute, Eneko Bóveda scored the equaliser with an excellent strike from outside the box.

Not even ten minutes had gone by when Granada made it 1-0. The Nazaríes goal came from a Dimitri Foulquier assist to Nyom, who beat Xabi Irureta with an angled shot. The home side were unable to equalise until the 37th minute, when Bóveda made it 1-1 with a powerful strike.

In the second half the game remained evenly contested and the pace of play was intense. Fear of losing meant neither side took too many risks, though there were chances to claim the victory.

With this result, Gaizka Garitano's team now have ten points, while Joaquín Caparrós’ side have nine. They added the points after losing in the last round of the Liga BBVA against FC Barcelona and Rayo, respectively.
