So much to play for on Sunday in the Liga Adelante

Six games and a lot of excitement is on the menu on Sunday as the league approaches its climax.

SD Ponferradina – Real Zaragoza (12.00 CEST, El Toralín)
Both teams, immersed in the fight for sixth place in the table that would give them the right to contest the promotion play-offs, go into this game lat El Toralín level on points and separated only by goal difference, putting José Manuel Díaz's side marginally ahead.
Julen Castañeda misses out for Ponferradina through injury, while the visitors have a full squad for this vital game. Their coach Ranko Popović described the importance of the game by saying: "We could take another step towards achieving the objective which we all want."

The drama to avoid the drop reaches Anduva this Sunday, when the bottom side in the Liga Adelante visit Mirandés.

Real Sporting – RCD Mallorca (5pm CEST, El Molinón)
The Asturians have the opportunity to pip Girona FC to second place when they host a Mallorca side who are unbeaten in their last two games. Sporting will be without Alberto Lora through suspension, while Álex Barrera, Iván Hernández, Juan Muñiz and Alberto García are all injured.

Meanwhile, the side from the Balaeric islands will be without top scorer Xisco Jiménez and Héctor Yuste due to suspension, and Michael Pereira, Fofo and João Victor, are doubts for coach Miquel Soler. "We have a few absent players but we shouldn’t focus too much on them, we should show our faith in the players who are coming in to replace them and remind them what we expect of them," said the Mallorca boss.

R. Valladolid CF – CD Leganés (6.15pm CEST, Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla)
The José Zorrilla stadium will once again try and come to its team's aid as Valladolid look to pick up a win over Leganés that would keep them in the play-off positions. The Madrid side meanwhile would move on to 50 points if they can pick up a win, which would practically seal their position in the division for next season.

The blanquivioletas go into this game without Alejandro Alfaro and David Timor through injury, while Samuel Llorca is suspended. Leganés players Borja Lázaro and Carlos Delgado are new additions to Asier Garitano's squad. "We need to play really well and believe we can win," said Garitano.

Getting back to winning ways is the main aim for Tenerife and Lugo

Albacete B. – FC Barcelona B (7pm CEST, Estadio Carlos Belmonte)
The game between the La Mancha and Barcelona sides will be a relegation battle. The men trained by Luis César Sampedro want to get back to winning ways in the league, meanwhile Jordi Vinyal's men want to extend their good run with another win. Pulo, for the home side, and Macky Bagnack, for the visitors, are the definitely unavailable for the game after suffering serious injuries. The azulgrana side are also without Álex Grimaldo and Sergi Palencia due to bans. Jordi Vinyals, the Catalan manager, talked to the media before the game and explained that his side must "continue to take steps forward" if they want to stay up.

CD Tenerife – CD Lugo (7pm CEST, Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López)
Getting back to winning ways is the main aim for both the Canary Islanders and Lugo. Both sides are not having their best run of results in the competition and that is why they are approaching the match knowing that it is a serious clash in terms of their hopes of staying up.

The Tenerife goalkeeper Carlos Abad Hernández, is the big addition to Raúl Agné's squad while the Galician side's coach, Quique Setién, will definitely be without central midfielder Carlos Pita and there are doubts over Jonathan Valle and Pablo Nicolás Caballero. Also, Setién stated that Tenerife are "quite similar" and that they play very well at home.

CD Mirandés – RC Recreativo (9pm CEST, Estadio Municipal de Anduva)
The survival battle will also be waged in Anduva, when the bottom side in the Liga Adelante visit Mirandés who want to seal their survival in the competition as soon as possible. A draw and a win for the home side in their last games have got them dreaming about picking up another good result against a side who need to win and are anxious of getting a good result.

Carlos Terrazas, stated that it will be necessary to "to do away with the remaining opponents" in order to achieve the objectives set at the beginning of the season. His opposite number in the Recreativo dugout, José Domínguez, was emphatic: "We are playing the most important game of the year and we know that, which is why I just hope that we have a clear idea of how we approach it".
