Miku named Liga BBVA Player of the Month for February

Rayo Vallecano's Venezuelan striker scoops the award after having netted in four of his side's five games this month.

Rayo Vallecano striker Nicolas 'Miku' Fedor (Caracas, Venezuela, 1985) has been named Liga BBVA Player of the Month for February after a fine run of goalscoring form which saw him hit the target in four of his five appearances during the month.

At 30, and after many years in the Liga BBVA, Miku would seem to have finally settled at Rayo Vallecano, where he has firmly established himself as a focal point of the Madrid side's attack. The Venzuelan's goals clinched six points for Paco Jemez's team during the course of February. His goals come against the big boys, RC Deportivo and Sevilla FC and direct rivals in UD Las Palmas and R.Sporting.

This accolade, which is awarded by BBVA, the competition's main sponsor, and is voted for by the writers, recognises Miku's excellent forward play, his eye for goal and his goalscoring return in recent games.
