The LaLiga World programme continues to provide a platform for its clubs to travel across the globe, with RC Deportivo and RC Celta the latest sides to sign up for the initiative.
The Galician pair will be on tour in Uruguay between 19 and 25 July, during which time they will contest a four-team tournament involving Uruguay's CA Peñarol and Club Nacional de Football at Montevideo's 60,235-capacity Centenario stadium.
Thetournament, which sees the LaLiga duo go head-to-head with the two most decorated sides in Uruguayan football, is set to be held on Thursday 21 and Saturday 23 July. On the 21st, Celta and Deportivo will face off at 17:30 local time (22:30 CET), while Nacional and Peñarol will contest the other semi-final later that day. Saturday 23rd brings the third-place playoff at 15:00 local time (20:00 CET) followed by the grand final at 17:30 (22:30 CET).
This trip marks Celta's first participation in the LaLiga World project, whilst it's the second time that Deportivo are taking part in the programme, after the A Coruña outfit travelled to Colombia two years ago under the auspices of the LFP World Challenge.
Meanwhile, Uruguay is set to play host to the LaLiga World initiative for a second time, after Malaga CF toured around the South American country in 2014, with CA Peñarol also providing the opposition on that occasion.© LaLiga - Year 2016
