Celta come away with nothing

The side from Vigo had to make do with a point against a Granada side who saw no option but to sit back and play on the counter.

RC Celta and Granada CF drew 0-0 in Matchday 11 of La Liga BBVA. The result left the Galician side wanting more following a busy match in which the only thing missing were goals. But for Joaquín Caparros's side, a decent point away from home.

Celta were in control throughout the game, particularly in the first half, when their attacking play and control of the ball forced Granada to drop deep. There was wave after wave of attacks from the Galicians in the first half, which for all the shots still ended goalless.

Rubén Rochina had Granada's clearest chance in the second half, and Michael Krohn-Dehli led several counterattacks for Eduardo Berizzo's side, but still no goal would come. Celta threw everything at Granada in the dying moments, with Orellana, Nolito et. al going close, but still they failed to find the breakthrough and had to make do with a point.
