Bernardo, 2014/15 Liga Adelante Best Defender

The Colombian center defender was the pillar of the defense that least goals conceded in the category and one of the team leaders on the field.

The involvement of Bernardo Espinosa (Cali, Colombia, July 11, 1989) was definitive in the promotion of Real Sporting to Liga BBVA. His hierarchy, character and determination to lead the defense of the Asturian team make him worthy of the award for 2014/15 Best Liga Adelante Defender.

The defender played every minute of the 41 games in which he was available, as he only missed a match due to suspension, and his team only conceded 27 goals, adding up to 20 games without defeat. In addition, he contributed with three goals, highlighting the one he scored against Mallorca to win by the minimum.

The Colombian fulfills the dream of returning to play in the top flight of Spanish football, where he debuted with Sevilla FC, and played another season with Racing de Santander. Therefore, he is aware of the competition demand and his experience will be important for Real Sporting´s squad.
