San Sebastian and the magic of the north captivate LALIGA EXPERIENCE guests

The second visit to San Sebastian of the season surpassed all expectations as the group of influencers, talents and winners from LALIGA EA SPORTS’ international broadcasters became the stars of the week, gathering unforgettable memories along the way during a magical few days at the home of Real Sociedad.

Four action-packed days, brimming with activities and focusing importantly on football and a full immersion into the Basque culture. Our guests visited Zubieta, where they spent time with players Mikel Merino, Mikel Oyarzabal and Martin Zubimendi. They also were able to test their shooting accuracy and ball skills with the Real Sociedad women's team - an exciting meeting with former American soccer and national team player and ESPN talent Ari Krieger - and were among the lucky few to visit the new first team residence before its official inauguration.

Our VIPs also enjoyed the calm of the Reale Arena accompanied by Xabi Prieto, sat in on Imanol Alguacil's Real Sociedad v Real Madrid pre-match press conference and attended a Basque Pelota match, where they discovered one of the Basque Country’s most iconic traditions.

And if that wasn't enough, they were treated to a tour of the city of San Sebastian, where they tasted a generous selection of local 'pintxos', discovered every corner of the San Mamés stadium and attended a cooking show with Fernando Canales, before settling in to watch the pivotal face-off between Deportivo Alaves and RC Celta, a crucial clash in their fight to avoid relegation.

But, without a doubt, the main dish on the menu was attending the LALIGA EA SPORTS matchday 33 thriller at the Reale Arena between two great teams: Real Madrid, current league leaders, and Real Sociedad, who are fighting for the fifth consecutive season to secure a spot in Europe.

Not even the rain could put a dampener the thrilling match that took place at the Reale Arena and the guests of #LALIGAEXPERIENCE enjoyed and danced to the rhythm of La Oreja de Van Gogh with Txurdin during an exciting encounter.
