Morocco, the final challenge of an historic season

Sevilla arrive in Agadir where they will take on Hassania Union Sport d'Agadir.

Sevilla FC, the recently crowned Europa League champions, are now in Agadir where they will take on Hassania Union Sport d’Agadir (HUSA) in the LaLiga World Challenge.

Before departing for another continent, the Sevilla expedition were waved off by their loyal supporters in the Andalusian city's international airport. There has been no let up in the party atmosphere since Wednesday’s triumph.

Since clinching the historic European title, everyone involved with the club has had a packed schedule full of institutional events. The LFP World Challenge tour gives them a chance to put the finishing touches to their wonderful season with a yet another challenge on the international stage.

Monchi, the sporting director and one of the key figures behind the team's recent success, emphasised the importance of promoting the image of Spanish football abroad. He even spoke of the possibility of looking out for new signings in Morocco, thereby making the most of the opportunities presented by this initiative.

The team captain, Fernando Navarro, also expressed his sense of pride at being able to represent La Liga in Africa. Meanwhile, Vicente Iborra stated that, despite having their feet firmly on the ground, everyone is excited about continuing to grow in the immediate future.

Before their arrival at the Soritel Agadir Royal Bay Resort Hotel, the players were greeted by a welcoming committee at the Agadir airport, where those in attendance took photographs of the sporting idols.

The match against Hassania Union Sport d'Agadir will take place tomorrow at 8pm CEST.
