Celta to face Manchester United in Europa League semi-finals

The LaLiga side will play the first leg at home on Thursday 4th May before heading north for the second leg at Old Trafford a week later.

RC Celta are to face Manchester United in the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League.

Eduardo Berizzo’s side, who made history on Thursday night by beating KRK Genk 4-3 on aggregate and qualifying for the first European semi-final in the club’s 94-year history, were drawn against the English heavyweights at the semi-final draw in Switzerland on Friday.

The first leg will be played at Balaidos on the 4th May, while the second leg will take place a week later on 11th May at Old Trafford.

With just four teams remaining in the competition, the Vigo side dream of emulating fellow LaLiga side and current holders Sevilla FC who went all the way last season.
