All you need to know about Spain at the European Championships

Jorge Vilda’s side kicks off their UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 campaign on July 19th against Portugal in Doetinchem.

The Spanish national team has been drawn into Group D together with England, Scotland and Portugal, who are making their first-ever appearance at the tournament.

The team will be based in Epe, a town in the east of the Netherlands.

REACHING THE KNOCK-OUT PHASE

The two top-placed teams will qualify for the quarter-finals. The top-ranked team will play the team that finishes second in Group C in Deventer. The second-placed team, meanwhile, will play the Group C winners in Tilburg.

DEBUTANTS

A total of 14 players will be making their European Championship debut for the national side: Mariasun, Andrea Pereira, Mariona Caldentey, Esther, Mari Paz, Marta Corredera, Celia Jiménez, Sandra Paños, Leila Ouahabi, Mapi León, Paula Nicart, Bárbara Latorre, Olga García y Alexandra López.
